The Pilgrims return to the scene of their UniBond League play-off glory bidding to extend their winning streak to four matches.
Blue Square Bet North successes over Colwyn Bay and Chester FC and an FA Cup win over Kettering Town have ensured the Pilgrims visit the Horsfall Stadium in good form.
Park Avenue, meanwhile, were undefeated in their first five matches after promotion, but have since suffered successive league defeats to Stalybridge Celtic, Brackley Town and Altrincham. They did beat Curzon Ashton in the FA Cup last weekend though.
United will be without the services of injured midfielder Matt Wilson (knee) but hope to have an otherwise fully-fit squad to choose from.
Newcomer Sam Craven is included in the travelling squad for the first time.
For the record, Marc Newsham and Spencer Weir-Daley are the only United survivors from that memorable play-off final success in May 2010.
