Boston United begin their FA Trophy campaign on Saturday with a tough trip to league rivals Solihull Moors (kick-off 3.00pm).

The Moors have suffered only one defeat in 20 matches so far this season — an Emirates FA Cup replay reversal at the hands of Worcester City in October — and were 4-2 victors at Stockport County in midweek.

Solihull left The Jakemans Stadium with a 4-1 win in August — but United have undergone plenty of personnel changes since then, with the likes of Henrich Ravas, Zak Mills, Dylan McEvoy, Jordan Richards, Jordan Blinco, John Sands and Ryan Robbins not featuring in the last meeting between the sides.

The Pilgrims will be forced to cope without suspended skipper Scott Garner, who serves a one-match ban for accruing five yellow cards so far this season.

On-loan Lincoln City forward Alex Simmons is also unavailable due to the terms of his loan agreement.

United’s last visit to the Automated Technology Group Stadium unfolded in April 2015 when Dayle Southwell bagged a hat-trick as the Pilgrims won 4-1 to book their play-off place.

Should Saturday’s tie end all-square, the replay will be played at The Jakemans Stadium on Tuesday December 1 (kick-off 7.45pm).
