Boston United and FC Halifax Town meet in an important Vanarama National League North encounter at The Jakemans Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Pilgrims are unbeaten in their last six league contests, while Halifax have won five consecutive games in league and cup.

The Shaymen boast a number of last season’s promotion-winning North Ferriby United players in their ranks, alongside former United captain Scott Garner.

United have no fresh injury concerns to report, although the game is likely to come a week or two too early for captain Nat Brown to return to action.

Fit-again Callum Chippendale stepped up his case for inclusion from the start with two goals in an under-21s fixture against Bourne Town in midweek.

Long-term injury victims Joe Burgess, Herve Pepe-Ngoma, Shane Clarke and Grant Roberts are all out of contention.

Halifax have amassed 24 points from 13 games so far this season and have been beaten twice on the road — losing 3-2 at both AFC Fylde and Gainsborough Trinity.

Following dialogue between the club, the Safety Advisory Group and Lincolnshire Police, Halifax supporters have been allocated the Jakemans (Town End) Stand for this fixture, accessible via turnstiles 7-10.

Saturday’s match referee is Paul Graham and kick-off is at 3.00pm.

Updates for those not in attendance will be available on Twitter.
