Boston United will be targeting a place in the top seven of Vanarama National League North to earn a shot at promotion in 2017-2018.

The champions will clinch automatic promotion, while the next six teams will play-off for the right to earn elevation to the National League.

The changes were confirmed at the National League Congress weekend at Celtic Manor, where the constitution of National League North was also ratified.

Fixtures for the new season will be revealed at 1.00pm on Wednesday July 5.

The club’s matchday programme, meanwhile, took the top honours in National League North for a sixth successive campaign.

'The Pilgrim' was voted (by member clubs) as the best publication in the division once again — with United vice-chairman Neil Kempster officially accepting the award from National League president Brian Lee at the AGM.
