Boston United have swooped to sign Lincoln City goalkeeper Paul Farman on an initial three-month loan deal.

The 24-year-old, who has made 79 league appearances for the Red Imps, put pen-to-paper on Friday afternoon and subject to ratification of the paperwork by the relevant authorities, he will be available for Saturday’s Vanarama Conference North trip to Stockport County.

Farman also has 64 league appearances to his credit for Gateshead between 2009 and 2012 and has only lost his regular place at Sincil Bank due to the form of Birmingham City loanee Nick Townsend.

United boss Dennis Greene told bufc.co.uk: "We needed to bring in an experienced goalkeeper and Paul fits the bill perfectly.

"I would like to thank Lincoln City for their help in making this move happen."
