United sign left-back McEvoy

The 18-year-old has joined the Pilgrims on an initial month’s work experience loan arrangement and is eligible to make his United debut against AFC Telford United on Saturday.

McEvoy will become the seventh Sunderland loanee to appear for the Pilgrims over the course of the last three seasons since Liam Marrs’ debut at Brackley Town in November 2013.

Liam Agnew, David Ferguson, Joel Dixon, Tom McNamee and Max Stryjek have featured for United during that period too.
