Local building and plumbing suppliers Turnbull & Co are the new back-of-shirt sponsors of Boston United.

The Turnbull & Co artwork will grace the reverse of United’s shirts in 2013-2014, following hot-on-the-heels of the arrival of Drayton Motors as official shirt sponsors for the new campaign.

Turnbull & Co sponsored the Pilgrims’ shorts in 2012-2013 — and they have now stepped up to the back-of-shirts slot following T&B Containers’ decision to step aside from the popular sponsorship opportunity.

United commercial manager Craig Singleton told bufc.co.uk: “We have spoken to a variety of local businesses about taking on the back-of-shirts package and we were delighted when Turnbull & Co emerged as the frontrunner for the sponsorship.

“We have worked with Turnbull & Co for many years now and we are looking forward to working in conjunction with them in their new role as back-of-shirt sponsors.

“Our thanks are extended to Chris Hopkins and Paul Roberts who have enabled this deal to go ahead so smoothly.”

Branches on Norfolk Street and Hamilton Way ensure Turnbull & Co have a strong presence within Boston.

Paul Roberts, heavyside sales manager at Turnbull & Co in Boston, added: “We are delighted to continue our association with Boston United and in the process raise the profile of Turnbulls within our local trading area.

“We hope to introduce further schemes in the future to help the club in other ways through the numerous connections they have via their loyal supporters and through the excellent work they do within the local community.

“We are proud to be associated with an organisation that has recovered its reputation in the way it has during the time we have been working with them.”

Reflecting on the change of sponsor on the back of United’s shirts, Singleton added: “We must also thank Andy Dickinson and Tim and Diane Curtis at T&B Containers, who have provided three years of excellent support via the main club sponsorship initially and then the back-of-shirts offering in 2012-2013.”

United’s new shorts sponsors will be announced shortly.
