Boston United staged their annual Community Day at The Jakemans Stadium on Sunday.

Hundreds of United supporters and connections passed through the gates as the Pilgrims showcased some of the activities that go on behind-the-scenes.

The Positive Pilgrims tournament took place inside the club’s inflatable pitch, along with a Centre of Excellence demonstration.

There were sets from the United Cheer Team and United Netball Club, while musical entertainment was provided by ‘The Plunge’ of William Lovell School.

Fans were given the opportunity to undertake stadium tours and board the first team coach which was in attendance courtesy of AC Williams.

Jakemans Confectioners, Thurlby Motors, TaylorITEX, BUSA, Lincolnshire Police and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were all in attendance, alongside a cancer awareness stall.

Elsewhere, cyclists Dave Nunn and Dave Stubley were welcomed into the stadium after completing a charity bike ride from Ingoldmells to Boston.

Event organiser Craig Singleton told bufc.co.uk: “Our thanks go to everybody who contributed to a successful day. It was the perfect event to conclude our pre-season build-up and everybody is now looking forward to the new season.”

High resolution images of the squad photographs will be available on bufc.co.uk in the coming days.
