United undone at the death

1 year ago By Craig Singleton

Boston United were denied maximum spoils by a Stockport County leveller deep into stoppage time at The Jakemans Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

James Ball's header in the sixth minute of added time rescued a point for the visitors who had seemingly been dead and buried following Gregg Smith and Jay Rollins goals either side of half-time.

Matty Warburton had cut the deficit for Stockport within five minutes of falling two goals behind and it was left to Ball's late show to deny Karl Hawley and his United side a second successive win.
