Lee shouldered the responsibility for the defeat at Court Place Farm — and urged his players to make amends by delivering the performances to arrest their poor run of form.

The United manager discussed the Pilgrims’ poor start, quick upturn to equalise and take the lead and dramatic decline within seven minutes of the restart.

Lee looked ahead to Saturday’s trip to Colwyn Bay where he is determined to see that lessons have been learned.
