United in the Community’s official cheerleading group scooped four placings at the UKCA National Spring Championships in Manchester on Saturday before providing pre-match entertainment at Wembley Stadium ahead of the Skrill Premier promotion final between Cambridge United and Gateshead.

Results from the Manchester Velodrome on Saturday included:

Tiny Teenies Level 1: Buzzy Bees - SECOND
Teenies Level 1: Little Bees - FOURTH
Junior B Level 1: Queen Bees - FIFTH
Masters Level 1: Bee Amazed - SECOND

UCT coach Nicola Drummond told bufc.co.uk: “All teams entered the cheerleading division for the first time and we are extremely pleased with their hard work leading up to competitions but also how they displayed themselves all day on Saturday.

“They did themselves proud and they cannot wait to get training again on the next level!”

On Sunday, meanwhile, Queen Bees and Bee Amazed — plus five members of the adults troupe — performed prior to the Conference final at Wembley.
