Liam Adams was on target twice as Boston United lost out to Liverpool at The Jakemans Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Watched by a crowd of 432, United's youth team trailed 3-0 to their Liverpool counterparts at half-time, but came back strongly to cut the deficit to 3-2 and eventually 4-3.
Jenson Ball was United's other scorer, with Marley Blair, Brad Garton, Rafa Camacho and Glen McAuley netting for the Reds.
