Boston United 3-3 Newcastle Town

by Craig Singleton

Striker Jordan Nuttell struck twice but Boston United were pegged back late on by Newcastle Town at RAF College Cranwell on Wednesday afternoon.

The Pilgrims led 3-2 with five minutes remaining but Newcastle struck to secure a share of the spoils.

Joe Briers was also on target as United threatened to record their second victory of the New Year.

United led 3-1 at half-time. NUTTELL had seen his early strike cancelled out by a Newcastle leveller, but the Pilgrims were back in front through BRIERS.

NUTTELL added his second goal before the break but Newcastle hit back strongly after half-time and after cutting the deficit early on, the visitors grabbed their equaliser five minutes from time.
