Charley Sanders and Jordan Nuttell scored two goals apiece as Boston United defeated MMU Newcastle on Wednesday afternoon.
Four second half strikes were sufficient to hand the Pilgrims a deserved victory at RAF College Cranwell.
Nuttell emerged as a second half substitute following a long lay-off with ankle damage — and duly made up for lost time with a well-taken brace.
The Pilgrims took the lead on 57 minutes through SANDERS. The lead was doubled six minutes later when SANDERS added his second goal of the game.
NUTTELL replaced the hard-working Lemos Pereira with 15 minutes to play — and netted his first goal within four minutes of coming on.
The scoring was completed five minutes from time when NUTTELL added his second and United’s fourth to cap an excellent win.
Boston (4-4-2): Marc Hipwell; Scott Langan, Lewis Sturman, Todd Devlin, Jake Platten; Niall Delahoy, Jake Beauchamp, Elliott Price, Aaron Eyett; Charley Sanders, Lemos Pereira (Jordan Nuttell 75).
