Heckington United 0-3 Boston United
Boston United Reserves kicked off the New Year with a comfortable victory over Heckington United on Saturday afternoon.
Liam Ogden opened the scoring before half-time and two second half penalties from Tom Sergeant capped the three-point haul.
OGDEN set the ball rolling for the Pilgrims and SERGEANT doubled the lead from the spot after youngster Jordan Nuttell had been upended by the keeper.
When Nuttell was once again brought down in the box on 65 minutes, SERGEANT blasted home his second penalty of the match.
There was still time for Ryan Barker to concede a penalty at the other end, but keeper Andy Hewitt responded with a terrific save to preserve his clean sheet.
