In his first spell with the Pilgrims, Lee scored 15 goals in 66 appearances. The big striker’s long and distinguished career began in 1989 at Charlton Athletic and took in spells with Stockport County, Lincoln City, Southend United, Nottingham Forest, Grimsby Town, Watford, Chesterfield, Peterborough United, Falkirk, Northampton Town, Notts County, Mansfield Town, Kettering Town, Corby Town, Ilkeston Town and Arnold Town.
