Boston boss Dennis Greene once again opted to utilise 22 different players, ensuring there was a completely unfamiliar look to the United side by full-time.

The only goal of the game arrived with 11 minutes to play. Full-back Adrian Grociak surrendered possession cheaply, allowing Andrew Tidswell to cross for THOMAS to steer the ball home.

Dayle Southwell, Scott Garner and Carl Piergianni saw Boston’s best chances go begging before half-time.
