Defeat at the hands of Spalding United on Tuesday evening ensured Boston United exited the Lincolnshire Senior Cup for the second time this season.
Having been re-instated after Lincoln City fielded ineligible players in their 4-0 win at the Jakemans Community Stadium, the Pilgrims saw a mixture of fringe first teamers and under-23s and under-19s players, beaten by a near full-strength Tulips.
Tyler Winters' sixth minute goal set the ball rolling, with ex-Pilgrim James Clifton (82) and substitute Dan Sweeney (89) both striking inside the final eight minutes to seal the victory.
