Tyrone Williams scored a stoppage time winner for Hednesford Town to wipe out Boston United's stirring second half comeback at Keys Park on Saturday.

Williams grabbed his second of the game in the fourth minute of additional time after Mark Jones and Carl Piergianni had seemingly rescued the Pilgrims from the brink of defeat.

Ahmed Obeng had scored Town's first goal as the hosts took a firm grip on proceedings before the break, only for United to roar back strongly.

United had made one change ahead of kick-off, with fit-again Jamie McGhee replacing the injured Kaine Felix.

Town, managerless since Rob Smith's departure to AFC Telford United, approached the game in mixed form and they were the first to threaten when man mountain Kyle Perry was unable to fully shrug off the attentions of Piergianni and lifted a near post effort over the angle of bar and post.

The impressive Sean Williams was unable to capitalise on a poor Jason Alexander clearance and blazed over the bar from 25 yards.

Town went in front on 31 minutes when Dayle Southwell cheaply surrendered possession, Lionel Stone was shrugged off the ball and OBENG finished well from 12 yards.

Matters got worse for the Pilgrims four minutes later when Tyrone WILLIAMS ghosted into the six-yard box to fire home Ben Bailey's towering throw-in.

Alexander made crucial saves to deny Obeng and Kennedy Digie before the break and it laid the platform for United's second half recovery.

There was a further let-off for the Pilgrims after the break when Obeng's low drive deflected to safety off the United post.

United drew themselves back into contention on 61 minutes with a goal started and finished expertly by JONES, freeing Jay Rollins down the right and lashing home the resulting cross.

Southwell subsequently went clean through but rolled the ball wide as parity seemingly beckoned.

Hednesford had a glorious chance to kill the game off when Obeng broke through completely on his own but was unable to steer past Alexander after opting to square to the advancing Digie.

United levelled with 10 minutes to play when Kyle Dixon's free-kick was nodded down by Jones and PIERGIANNI slammed it home with his left foot.

The match remained on a knife edge until the fourth minute of stoppage time when Rollins lost the ball in midfield, allowing Hednesford to break rapidly and centre-half Tyrone WILLIAMS marauded forward to steer home his second of the afternoon.
