Canoville and White set for Histon return

Canoville and White set for Histon return

Craig Singleton14 Oct 2011 - 10:56

Boston United travel to Cambridgeshire on Saturday afternoon to face Histon in a re-arranged Blue Square Bet North clash.

With both sides out of the FA Cup, the fixture has been brought forward 10 days from the original midweek slot at the end of October.

United’s first-ever competitive visit to the Glass World Stadium will afford the Pilgrims the opportunity to bounce back from last weekend’s 6-1 hammering at the hands of Altrincham — and a victory would move United to the brink of the play-off positions.

The Pilgrims’ cause will be aided by the respective returns of Lee Canoville and Alan White, who could both start in the back four, with changes likely following the heavy defeat at Moss Lane.

Tom Ward (ankle) and Mickey Stones (knee) are both still on the sidelines, while Liam Parker will appear for the Pilgrims’ reserves.

The reverse fixture earlier in the campaign ended 1-1 after Marc Newsham had cancelled out Dan Holman’s early opener.

The Pilgrims will be donning their white and royal blue strip for the trip to Cambridgeshire — and those not in attendance can follow all the action on United Live.

United are 15/8 to record their fourth away win of the campaign. Blue Square Bet have Histon at 11/10 for a home win, while the draw is quoted at 12/5.
