The United co-boss has been sidelined since damaging knee ligaments against Histon on August 16 and is now set to step up his comeback — ironically in readiness for Saturday’s trip to Histon.

Canoville will line-up for Glen Maddison’s second string (kick-off 7.45pm) — with midfield duo Danny Sleath and Ben Milnes also likely to figure after sitting out Saturday’s heavy defeat at Altrincham.

Maddison’s side will be aiming for a third home victory inside the space of a week, following earlier successes against Heckington United and Sleaford Town Reserves.
