Boston United will compete in the semi-final of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup on Tuesday evening.

The Pilgrims entertain Grantham Town at The Jakemans Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm) following pre-season victories over Scunthorpe United and Stamford AFC.

With Saturday's Emirates FA Cup first round trip to Carshalton Athletic in mind, United boss Craig Elliott is set to make changes, with a host of first team fringe stars set to feature.

Alex Penny could make his first start in United colours following substitute outings against York City and AFC Telford United during the last week.

Opponents Grantham were 2-1 victors at Gainsborough Trinity in pre-season to book their last four berth.

Should the scores be level after 90 minutes, the match will go straight to penalties.

Two of the last three Senior Cup meetings between the sides arrived in the final, with United winning 1-0 in 2010 before losing 2-0 in 2012.

Tuesday's match referee is Martin Chester, who took charge of United's 4-2 win over Scunthorpe in July.

Only the Mick George Stand will be open for this fixture.

Matchday updates for those not in attendance will be published on Twitter via @bostonunited — starting with team news at 7.00pm.
