Reserves set for season resumption

Reserves set for season resumption

Craig Singleton6 Jan 2012 - 11:38

Boston United Reserves resume their Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League campaign on Saturday with a trip to Heckington United.

The Pilgrims will be aiming for their sixth successive victory — and a league double over Heckington — but have not played competitively since December 3.

Boston will be without the services of Jason Field and Tony Edwards, who are both on first team duty, while experienced defender Matt Price has taken an indefinite break from football due to impending parenthood.

Club officials are still awaiting international clearance for new signing Tom Dodds and are unlikely to be able to utilise the newcomer from the USA on Saturday.

Youth team trio Lewis Sturman, James Reed and Jordan Nuttell are all included in Glen Maddison’s 16-man squad.

United (from): Hewitt, Barker, Bishop, Dawson, Eustace, Jackson, Lovett, Nuttell, Ogden, Rawdon, Reed, Sergeant, Snaith, Sturman, Thompson, Whitaker.
