The Pilgrims’ stuttering New Year form continued with a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Bishop’s Stortford on Tuesday.

Austin was at a loss to explain United’s poor showing and admitted that the Pilgrims were well-beaten by Rod Stringer’s resurgent Blues.

Austin targeted an instant riposte against Dartford in the FA Trophy on Saturday.
