The Pilgrims were indebted to Ryan Semple’s 80th minute equaliser against Blyth Spartans on Saturday — but Bastock is challenging his team-mates to strike early in matches to relax themselves.

Bastock is keen to see the Pilgrims hit the ground running against Bishop’s Stortford on Tuesday evening.

The 41-year-old stopper is also looking forward to what he hopes will be a ‘special’ occasion against Dartford in the FA Trophy on Saturday.
