Scott Pollock bagged a first half hat-trick as Boston United opened their official pre-season programme with victory on Tuesday night.
The Pilgrims were 3-2 victors over Gainsborough Trinity at The Northolme - with Pollock on target in the ninth, 42nd and 45th minutes.
Andrew Wright and Tom Cursons cut the deficit after the break, but United held on for the win.
