Basford friendly is first up

The Pilgrims travel to the Nottingham area to face newly-promoted Evo-Stik Premier Division side Basford United at Greenwich Avenue (kick-off 7.30pm).

Craig Elliott's side will play their first of seven scheduled matches ahead of the National League North curtain-raiser against Guiseley on Saturday August 4.

Elliott could run the rule over a handful of trialists with his confirmed squad only numbering 14 ahead of the Basford fixture.
