The Stags won all seven of their league matches during the period, including victories over promotion rivals Forest Green Rovers and Grimsby Town. Cox’s side are now odds-on favourites to become champions.
Finishing a close second to Cox was Hyde FC boss Scott McNiven, who saw his side improve their survival hopes with five straight wins at the end of the month. The Tigers were rewarded in the honours list though as Louis Almond took the player of the month award for the Blue Square Bet Premier.
In the Blue Square Bet North, Altrincham continued their push towards the play-off zone and saw their boss Lee Sinnott named as the manager of the month. The Robins won all six league matches during the period with a goal difference of 16-3.
Runaway leaders Chester FC scooped another award as this time striker Tony Gray claimed the Blue Square Bet North player of the month with five goals in three games, including a hat-trick at Colwyn Bay.
In the Blue Square Bet South, in-form Havant and Waterlooville made it a March double as Lee Bradbury won the manager of the month and Ollie Palmer was named player of the month.
The Hawks took 16 points from a possible 18 as they made a late surge for those all-important ‘top five’ positions, Palmer scoring an incredible seven of their 15 goals during the period.
