Nine individuals were handed nationwide football banning orders at King's Lynn Magistrates Court on February 23 – and the club have now issued their own banning orders, encompassing all club facilities, to run concurrently with those laid down by the court.
Sadly, issues of football violence, together with racist and discriminatory remarks (and chants), are back in football at all levels.
Football stadia are places where fans should be able to go to support their respective clubs in safety. We are all passionate about our clubs, but that passion must be tempered, so that such issues do not arise.
Unfortunately, we are having to spend more and more time dealing with such issues, and with the fallout with the football authorities.
We urge all Boston United fans (and visiting supporters) to show passion in support of their club, but also respect to others.
Finally, we would like to thank Norfolk Constabulary and Lincolnshire Police for their support in the above matter – reinforcing the club's zero tolerance policy on matchday disorder.
