As part of its continued expansion of its football programmes throughout the community, the new women's team will provide the focal point for the girls football programme, which now also enables girls to take advantage of its growing 16-19 education programme based at the Jakemans Community Stadium.
United vice-chairman Neil Kempster said: "The launch of the new senior women's team is a significant step for Boston United and illustrates the club's commitment to the women's game. The team's creation aligns with the significant growth of our girls section over the last two years since our move to the Jakemans Community Stadium. We will have further new girls teams next season and the creation of a senior women's team is the next important stage of that growth."

Whether you are a seasoned player or a complete beginner, these sessions offer a fun, friendly and supportive environment in which to learn and develop your skills. Led by experienced coaches, the sessions are suitable for anyone who wants to improve their fitness, meet new people and have fun.
Thanks to funding from the National League Trust, the recreational women's football sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings at Boston United's state-of-the-art 3G facility, at the Jakemans Community Stadium between 7.00pm and 8.00pm. The first session will take place on Wednesday May 17, with subsequent sessions running throughout the summer until September. Sessions cost only £1.

“We are delighted to be offering these new recreational sessions as we look to encourage as many female players as possible to enjoy their football," commented United community manager Nick Reeson. "With the introduction of several new Boston United girls teams next season and the announcement of the new women's team, we are contributing to the ongoing development of the women’s game in the local area."
