The 24-year-old has joined the Pilgrims on an initial two-year contract, with a further year’s option, have enjoyed a stellar campaign at Silverlands.

Buxton were beaten play-off semi-finalists – with Ward making a big impact after arriving from Leamington the previous summer.

He began his career in his native Leicestershire with Barwell.

The move is subject to final Football Association and National League approval.

Ward is summer signing number five, following the arrivals of Gavan Holohan, Nicholas Pozo, Kai Mauro and Terrell Agyemang.
