Boston United have completed the signing of fans' favourite Scott Garner from Guiseley for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old, who scored 17 goals in 138 appearances for the Pilgrims between 2013 and 2016, has returned to The Jakemans Stadium on a permanent basis.

Garner is registered and eligible to appear against Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday, having completed a recent three-match suspension for the Lions.

Reflecting on Garner's return to Lincolnshire, United boss Craig Elliott told bufc.co.uk: "Scott is a player that needs no introduction to the club. I am sure every Boston United fan has fond memories of his previous spell here.

"I have been a long-term admirer of Scott and I tried my best to sign him in the summer.

"I am just delighted that we have been able to get this deal done at this crucial stage of the season. He is an experienced player at this level but more importantly a leader that will help others around him.

"I would like to thank Russ O'Neill and Guiseley for their help in completing this deal."
