The 20-year-old has joined the Pilgrims for an initial month, having enjoyed a loan spell north of the border with Dunfermline Athletic last season.

Hampson has featured extensively for the Blades in pre-season – and now moves to the Jakemans Community Stadium to further his footballing education.

He is registered and eligible to face Solihull Moors on Saturday – having been allocated squad number 23.
