Join Pilgrims' football, coaching and education programme

We are recruiting for our 16-18 years education, coaching and football programme for September 2023!

Boston United Football Club is proud to offer its football, coaching and education programme for students aged 16 to 18 years who have a passion for football or coaching and want to pursue their academic goals at the same time.

Our education programme is designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to combine their love of football or coaching with a high-quality education, which is facilitated by SCL Education Group.

The football and education programmes offer a range of qualifications, including:

- NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Sport (Sports Coaching)
- NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity (Sports Coaching)
- BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Business and
- Year 14 option NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training.

These qualifications are highly regarded by universities, employers, and professional bodies and provide students with a range of opportunities for career advancement and further education.

The NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Sport (Sports Coaching) is a one-year course that covers a range of topics related to sports coaching, including coaching fundamentals, sports development, and health and fitness. This course provides an excellent foundation for students who wish to pursue a career in coaching.

The NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity (Sports Coaching) is a two-year course that covers a range of topics related to sports coaching, including sports psychology, anatomy and physiology, and nutrition. This course provides an in-depth understanding of sports coaching and prepares students for university-level study.

The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Business is a two-year course that covers a range of topics related to business management, including marketing, finance, and human resources. This course provides an excellent foundation for students who wish to pursue a career in sports management.

The year 14 option NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training is a one-year course that covers a range of topics related to fitness, including anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and exercise programming. This course provides an excellent foundation for students who wish to pursue a career in fitness instruction or personal training.

The football and education programmes are led by experienced coaches and educators who are passionate about helping students achieve their full potential and provide students with a range of qualifications that prepare them for career advancement and further education. The programmes provide a supportive learning environment for students of all abilities, and students receive regular feedback and support to help them succeed.

It also offers a unique opportunity for students to pursue their academic goals while also pursuing their passion for football or coaching. Those who choose the football route can receive daily coaching sessions led by UEFA and FA qualified coaches, represent Boston United and play in either the AOC Schools and Colleges, The National League football academy leagues or Womens football league. They also receive Individual Player Plans, Strength and Conditioning and fitness work.

Students also have the option to go via the club's Coaching route, and gain valuable coaching experience with the football club and earn coaching qualifications.
