Boston United are planning to recognise the older element of their fanbase as the club prepare to bid farewell to York Street.

Club officials are actively seeking 'Lifelong Pilgrim' nominations for the season ahead as a move away from York Street edges closer.

It's part of an enhanced matchday experience which will be rolled out for the 2019-2020 campaign.

United chairman David Newton said: "I was chatting to one of our supporters at a game last season and he was talking about a supporter who had followed the club for many years and that it would be good to recognise the loyalty shown.

"I thought it was a great idea so now I look forward to welcoming some of our long-standing supporters to the new Club 85 to thank them for their valued support over such a long period - including the ups and the downs!

"Please let us have your nominations as soon as possible as it would be fantastic to have a supporter and guest at every home game this season - as a guest of myself and my fellow directors."

If you would like to put forward a nomination for a long-standing supporter, who has been dedicated to the amber and black cause for a lifetime, please e-mail craig@bufc.co.uk in the first instance with all the relevant details.

One 'Lifelong Pilgrim' will be invited to each first team fixture, alongside a guest, to sample United's new Club 85 offering in the Cropleys Lounge.

Additional places for family and friends can be purchased at £35 per head (£30 for season ticket holders).
