Boston United are pleased to confirm that a shuttle bus will run from Boston town centre for the forthcoming fixture against Notts County on Tuesday.

The pick-up point for the shuttle bus will be located outside the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre, St George's Road, Boston, PE21 8YB (adjacent to the bus station) – and United staff will be present.

The pick-up point is also well located for Boston Railway Station, which is only a four-minute walk to the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre.

The cost will be £1.50 each way.

For this fixture it will be CASH ONLY, paid to the United staff before boarding the bus (the same applying to the return journey). Please have the correct change available.

We hope to have online ticket sales – and contactless payments – available for the Grimsby Town fixture on Saturday August 7 – and will confirm details nearer the time.

We are delighted to be working with Cropley Coaches of Fosdyke on this initiative for United supporters – and, of course, visiting supporters.

Initially, the timetable will be as follows:

OUTWARD - from the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre
5.00pm
5.45pm
6.30pm
7.15pm

RETURN - to the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre
9.45pm
10.30pm

All timings are approximate and will depend on traffic conditions on the route.

As this is a new service, we will monitor timings and adjust them in future if needed to ensure the best possible service. Any changes will be publicised.

IMPORTANT
To help reduce the potential spread of the Covid-19 virus, face coverings MUST be worn on the shuttle bus.

As all the parking spaces are not yet available at the new Jakemans Community Stadium due to ongoing construction works, we would ask as many people as possible to use this service, or consider one of the alternative means of accessing the stadium…

ON FOOT
There are a network of footpaths from the town to the stadium, although those using the footpath will have to cross the A16 via the crossing points.

CYCLE
Cycle racks are available either end of the Acorn Taxis (West) Stand, with all cycles left at the owner's risk.

TAXI
Club partners Acorn Taxis are offering deals for supporters travelling to and from the Jakemans Community Stadium.

Departing from their office in the bus station, the cost for journeys to and from the stadium would be £6 (each way) per car and £10 (each way) per minibus.

You can book an Acorn Taxi by calling (01205) 358358. Please book well in advance.

BUS SERVICES
Brylaine bus services B13 and K58 serve The Quadrant. Further details can be found on the Brylaine website (here) – please note: "The Quadrant" is not listed on the two Brylaine schedules, but we are informed that they drop off and pick up on Wallace Way (on The Quadrant).

Stagecoach, meanwhile, operate bus 57 between Boston and Spalding. It stops in The Quadrant, near to Starbucks, and services people travelling between Boston and Spalding bus stations. For full details, click here

You will note that some of the service times do NOT suit evening fixtures – please check the timetables carefully.

CAR SHARING
We would ask as many people as possible to consider car sharing to not only help with parking at the stadium, but also to help reduce the travel carbon footprint. For car sharing, however, we would also recommend that face coverings are worn – and the vehicle is well ventilated.

PARKING ARRANGEMENTS
We once again confirm the arrangements as follows:

Parking will be available at £3 per car on a first come, first served basis. The club would ask that supporters have the correct change ready – although contactless payments will be accepted too.

It is anticipated that car parking will almost exclusively be for sponsors, club guests and car park season pass holders when the National League North campaign gets under way against Spennymoor Town on Saturday August 14.

Further car park season passes will be released for sale in due course.

If parking near the stadium, please consider those living in the area. Car Park 4 will become available following completion of construction works at the Community Stadium.

The Covid-19 pandemic has not gone away, so we ask everyone to continue to play their part in trying to minimise transmission of the virus.
