The 22-year-old has become Jason Lee’s second outright signing of the summer following the earlier capture of Hinckley United goalkeeper Dan Haystead.
Standing at six feet, three inches tall, Jones spent spells of last season on trial with Crewe Alexandra in npower League 2.
The former Deeping Rangers frontman joined Corby in December 2011 and netted five times in 15 starting appearances for Steelmen before the end of the season.
The Pilgrims have fended off interest from several other clubs to land Jones’ signature and he will link up with his new team-mates at the start of pre-season training.
