The Pilgrims head to Essex to face last season's National League South promotion final winners at Cressing Road (kick-off 3.00pm).
Victories over AFC Fylde, Dagenham & Redbridge and Yeovil Town have firmly ignited the Pilgrims' bid for survival in the National League – with Braintree the next destination.
United were 3-1 victors over the Iron in this season's reverse fixture at the Jakemans Community Stadium – in Graham Coughlan's first match at the helm.
Braintree have since made their own managerial change, with Steve Pitt replacing Angelo Harrop – and currently sit seven points above the bottom four.
The Pilgrims will check on the fitness of midfielder Frankie Maguire (hamstring) and striker James Gale (knee), who both sat out Tuesday's 3-0 win at Yeovil Town.
