Preview - Braintree Town

Preview - Braintree Town

Craig Singleton23 Sep - 19:45

Boston United will be aiming to return to winning ways when they play host to Braintree Town on Wednesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

After losing back-to-back home games to Solihull Moors and Boreham Wood, for the first time since October 2024, the Pilgrims will be eager to get back on track when they entertain Steve Pitt’s Iron side.

Braintree have garnered 10 points from their opening 10 matches – including their maiden away win against Eastleigh on Saturday (3-1).

United could welcome defender Michael Kelly back from illness, while midfield duo Liam Waldock and Frankie Maguire are nearing fitness after knee injuries.

Defender Jacob Scott is sidelined with a hip problem sustained at Southend United on September 13.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 3-1 to the Pilgrims, in Graham Coughlan’s first match at the United helm. Boston completed the double with a 1-0 away win later in the season.

LIVE COVERAGE
The match will be shown live on National League TV.

BBC Radio Lincolnshire full-match commentary, courtesy of Rob Makepeace and Peter Costello, is available online.
