The Pilgrims will make their first visit to Brunton Park since March 2006 – United’s penultimate Football League season, which saw Carlisle promoted as League Two champions.
Carlisle have suffered back-to-back relegations in 2024 and 2025 and will face two National League encounters against the Pilgrims during the coming months.
In the meantime, the Cumbrians will play host to Graham Coughlan’s side on Saturday – with a place in Monday evening’s televised first round draw at stake.
Coughlan made nine changes for Wednesday’s National League Cup defeat to Newcastle United – with more alterations expected on Saturday. On-loan Birmingham City defender Tommy Fogarty will play no part as he continues his international duty stint with Northern Ireland under-21s.
Should a replay be required, it will be played at the Jakemans Community Stadium on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).
