The Pilgrims head to the south coast to face Eastleigh (kick-off 3.00pm) in the first-ever meeting between the sides.
Eastleigh are managed by former Southampton goalkeeper Kelvin Davis, who is assisted by Boston-born Danny Butterfield. The Spitfires kicked off the season with four successive victories, but currently sit 10th with 22 points to their credit.
Former United loanee Deji Sotona joined Eastleigh in the summer – but suffered a long-term injury on the opening day against Maidenhead United and will not feature at the weekend.
The Pilgrims have picked up seven points on the road so far this season – including victories over York City and Sutton United.
United boss Ian Culverhouse will check on the fitness of on-loan Norwich City midfielder Finley Welch, who limped off against AFC Fylde on Wednesday evening with a knee problem.
