The 12.30pm kick-off will conclude the Pilgrims' second season back in the top flight of non-league football – with a top half finish still possible.
United begin the final day action behind 12th placed Wealdstone on goals scored but know that a victory over Pools could secure a position as high as 11th in the final standings, depending on Tamworth's result at home to Braintree Town.
Manager Paul Hurst is expected to select from a similar squad to the one which won comprehensively at Solihull Moors last weekend.
Greg Sloggett (knee) and Jordy Hiwula (hamstring) have become late season additions to the injury list, joining Jordan Cropper, Zak Mills and Ken Aboh on the sidelines.
The sides drew 1-1 at Victoria Park in September – with Manni Norkett on target for the Pilgrims – following two Hartlepool wins last season.
