The Urchins won the National League South play-offs in May and have made a fantastic start to life at Step 1 with three wins out of four.

They were 2-1 victors in their first away game at Barrow, before losing 4-1 at Carlisle United in their second.

For the Pilgrims, Monday’s encounter represents an opportunity to secure back-to-back home wins following the 1-0 victory over Altrincham on August 22 – and to bounce back from last-gasp anguish at Boreham Wood on Thursday evening.

Connor McBride was back on the bench following hamstring trouble and could feature against Daryl McMahon’s side on Monday.

The only previous meeting between Boston and the ‘old’ Hornchurch club took place at York Street in November 2004 – with the Pilgrims winning 5-2 in the first round of the FA Cup.
