Preview - Maidenhead United

Craig Singleton27 Sep 2024 - 11:14

Boston United and Maidenhead United will meet for the first time in history at the Jakemans Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

In the process, Maidenhead will become the Pilgrims' 400th different competitive opposition since the club's formation in 1933.

It will be a crucial encounter at the foot of the National League table, with both teams finding themselves in the bottom four ahead of kick-off.

United will be searching for their opening home victory, while the Magpies have only collected one point on the road so far (0-0 at AFC Fylde in August).

Manager Ian Culverhouse will check on the status of his squad, following successive away trips to Altrincham and Gateshead.

Cameron Gregory, Jake Lovelace and Kieran Coates remain definite absentees for the Pilgrims.
