Preview - Newcastle United

Craig Singleton7 Oct - 09:19

Boston United conclude their National League Cup Group D campaign on Wednesday evening with the visit of Newcastle United (kick-off 7.00pm).

With three victories from three so far in the competition this season, United will be aiming to progress from the group with their 100 percent record intact.

The Pilgrims have scored 10 goals in wins over Middlesbrough, Leeds United and Sunderland – and now face the Magpies at the Jakemans Community Stadium.

Jordan Cropper (knee) and Jordan Richards (hamstring) will not feature against Newcastle – but it is likely to be an opportunity for manager Graham Coughlan to shuffle his pack.

Frankie Maguire is set to play, while fellow midfielder Liam Waldock is now back in contention after his own injury problems.

Should the scoreline remain level after 90 minutes, the match will head to penalties to determine the destination of an extra point.

The club are only opening the Acorn Taxis (West) Stand for this fixture – with tickets on sale here or contactless payments available on the turnstiles.

The shuttle bus service is not running for this fixture. Car park season pass holders can utilise their normal spaces.
