Preview - Oldham Athletic

Craig Singleton25 Nov 2024 - 19:12

Boston United will contest a first-ever league meeting against Oldham Athletic on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

United will travel to Boundary Park to face former Premier League opposition for only the third time – following two meetings against Swindon Town in 2006-2007.

Micky Mellon’s side have lost only twice so far in the National League this season – while the Pilgrims will be aiming for back-to-back wins under Graham Coughlan.

Coughlan saw his side emerge as 3-1 victors over Braintree Town at the weekend – at the same time Oldham were inactive due to a late postponement at Rochdale.

United have a near full-strength squad to choose from, with the exception of goalkeeper Cameron Gregory and defender Mitch Roberts.

The only previous meeting between the sides unfolded in 1952, with the Latics winning 2-1 in the FA Cup.

LIVE COVERAGE
The match will be shown live on National League TV.

Nineteen33 is showing a live stream of the match on a big screen - with tickets are on sale priced £3, the value of which can then be redeemed at the bar on the evening.

Elsewhere, BBC Radio Lincolnshire full-match commentary, courtesy of Dale Storey and Christian James, is available.

X updates will be available via @bostonunited throughout the evening.

TICKETS
Tickets for away supporters can be purchased here.

KIT WATCH
United will be wearing their home kit of amber and black.
