Fresh from three successive victories – over Boreham Wood, Sutton United and Gateshead – the Pilgrims now head to the Attis Arena at Glanford Park in pursuit of a sixth away win this season.
The Iron, managed by one time Pilgrim Andy Butler, have enjoyed an excellent first season back in the National League and are currently fifth ahead of kick-off. They have been beaten only once on home soil this season (1-0 to Carlisle United).
The sides fought out a 1-1 draw at the Jakemans Community Stadium in October, with Callum Roberts' contentious penalty cancelling out a Lenell John-Lewis opener.
John-Lewis will play no part on Saturday due to a broken metatarsal, alongside the likes of Jordan Cropper (knee), Zak Mills (hamstring), Jacob Scott (hip) and Jacob Hazel (knee).
Manager Paul Hurst will check on the fitness of Dylan Hill (knee) after he limped out of Tuesday's 1-0 win over Gateshead. The United boss will also hope to welcome back Alex Lankshear and Greg Sloggett, who have been nursing back issues.
