Preview - Southend United

Craig Singleton22 Jan - 17:02

Boston United entertain Southend United at the Jakemans Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3.00pm).

Paul Hurst will take charge of his first home match since returning to the club - and his first in the home dugout since March 2011 against Harrogate Town.

The Pilgrims will be aiming to record their first victory overall since December 6 - and their first on home soil since September 24.

Hurst will check on the fitness of striker Lenell John-Lewis, who missed out against FC Halifax Town with a tight groin.

Long-term absentees Jordan Cropper, Jacob Scott, Zak Mills and Jacob Hazel remain on the sidelines.

Boston and Southend fought out a 1-1 draw at Roots Hall earlier in the season, with Mills and Andrew Dallas on target late in the game.
