Preview - Tamworth

Craig Singleton11 Dec 2025 - 10:12

Boston United will get their Isuzu FA Trophy campaign under way on Saturday afternoon when they make the trip to Tamworth (kick-off 3.00pm).

The Pilgrims will face their National League rivals for the second time in seven weeks – having won 3-1 at the Lamb Ground in October.

On that occasion, Kieren Donnelly bagged two goals, either side of a Jordy Hiwula penalty, as Graham Coughlan's side recorded an eye-catching away win.

Donnelly and Alex Lankshear both made welcome return from injury during last Saturday's 3-0 win at Morecambe – and could be set for further involvement at the weekend in third round action.

Liam Waldock is poised to return to action following a minor hamstring complaint. Long-term injury victims Zak Mills, Jordan Cropper, Jacob Scott and Jacob Hazel remain sidelined.

Should Saturday's tie end all-square at full-time, the match will head straight to penalties – with Monday's fourth round draw poised for 5.00pm.
