Preview - Yeovil Town

Craig Singleton29 Aug 2024 - 18:05

Boston United conclude a run of four successive Saturday fixtures at the Jakemans Community Stadium with the visit of Yeovil Town this weekend.

After losing to Rochdale and Forest Green Rovers in their first two home fixtures, United drew 1-1 with Tamworth last time out, having held Jai Rowe's 41st minute lead until deep into stoppage time.

The Pilgrims subsequently won 2-0 at York City on Bank Holiday Monday, courtesy of second half goals from Jacob Hazel and Keaton Ward.

Ian Culverhouse's side now face Mark Cooper's National League South champions (kick-off 3.00pm), who returned to the National League at the first time of asking.

Yeovil have won twice so far – 1-0 at Braintree Town and 3-2 at home to Ebbsfleet United, as well as losing to Hartlepool United (1-0), Gateshead (3-1) and Rochdale (1-0).

The last meeting between the sides unfolded in March 2005, with Yeovil winning 2-1 at York Street en route to promotion to League One.
